Viking Security Safe VS-52BLX
3.2/5 Best Safe Score (how we score)
My fingerprint pick: the VS-52BLX stores 32 prints and a 4-8 digit PIN, with two override keys behind them. I like the 3.7 in of inside depth on a 4 in body, but Viking itself says fingerprint readers lose accuracy with age.

What owners say
Summarized from 2 owner discussions and review pages we read.
Praise
- A 1911Forum owner says it had the best features he found and a far sturdier locking system than the cheaper biometric wall safe he chose instead
Complaints
- The same owner returned it as too large and heavy (over 40 lb) for one pistol
- An owner on Viking's Facebook page could not change the default PIN
