Who it's for
- Best smart lock box in Best Key Lock Box – 3 Picks for Spare Keys and Guest Codes: An owner or host who shares keys with guests and contractors and wants expiring PINs without Wi-Fi; it needs batteries and a phone, and real-time logs need the separate Bridge.
What we like
- One-time, duration, recurring and permanent PIN codes from an app, working offline
- IP66 rated, zinc and aluminum alloy body with a hardened-steel shackle
- Roomy interior (4.3 x 3.4 x 1.1 in) with a USB-C jump-start if the batteries die
What to know first
- Real-time activity logs need the separate Bridge; without it, owners can only check unlocks within Bluetooth range
- Runs on 4 AAA batteries and needs an app, so it adds upkeep that a mechanical box does not
